“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

This verse in the Bible has been used as a Holy Spirit filled song that connects us with our maker. Indeed, God’s love for us never ceases and his mercies never come to an end. Sometimes, all we must do is to go before him and ask for his mercies. The mercy seat was the place of transference of sin for forgiveness, of reconciliation between God and His people. “As long as the blood was there on the mercy seat, He [God] saw only the blood and accepted the people.”

When the situation gets tough and unbearable, and it looks like it’s over, always remember to go before the throne of mercy for his mercies endures forever. When you have prayed and fasted and done all you have to do and there seems to be no answers, always remember to go before the throne of mercy.

Psalm 136:1-2 reads “Give thanks unto God for all things, for His mercy endures forever. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endures forever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endures forever.”

Psalm 51:1 reads “Have mercy on me O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy, blot out my transgressions.”

In 2 Samuel 24:14 David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”
